The story of George Sand and her home is a love story composed of a succession of heartbreaking partings followed by joyous reunions. Here she entertained her friends - loyal local people, old friends, and Parisians. Her guest list included Liszt, Balzac, Chopin, Delacroix, Flaubert ... to name but a few. It was in this 18th century house that she wrote most of her major works. The charm of the place begins to work on you as soon as you cross the threshold. You will be able to see the furniture and belongings which made up her surroundings. In the gardens, you will find two cedars planted to commemorate the birth of her children - Maurice in 1823 and Solange in 1828.
Guided tours of the inside of the house.
Gardens and puppet exhibition also open.
